The Words I Keep in My Heart

After a long, exhausting day, all I want is to tell her how much I miss her. But some feelings are too difficult to speak aloud. So, I write them on paper, place a dried rose beside the words, cut out the lines, and tuck them back inside my heart—where all the things I could never tell her quietly remain.
